INTRODUCTION TO BAKING

In this four-hour workshop, the students will learn four of the most famous and delicious cakes such as carrot cake, a super moist chocolate cake, the perfect yellow cake, and a red velvet cake. You’ll also learn how to make the perfect cream cheese frosting, American buttercream, chocolate, and mocha buttercream. These recipes will be used to create two layers of cake and cupcakes. At the end of the class, you’ll decorate cakes and cupcakes to take home.

Students will be working in groups of two. Limited space

Students will have the choice to use cake batters to make cakes and cupcakes.

You can make one single-layer 6” cake or six standard cupcakes.

PIPING & SPATULA TECHNIQUES

In this four hour class, students will learn all the technical aspects of cake decorating techniques such as correct use of pastry bags, different ways to create star borders, shell borders, rosette borders, zigzag borders, inverse borders, lettering, bead, ruffles, basket weave, and more. Students will also learn different spatula techniques to apply icing to their cakes.

INTRO TO FONDANT TECHNIQUES

In this four-hour workshop, you’ll learn all the technical secrets to roll out fondant and to cover a dummy cake using this sugar paste. The students will also learn how to use gum paste and fondant to create different designs; draping, borders, laces, quilting techniques, stencils designs.

GUM PASTE FLOWERS

In this workshop, the students will learn how to elaborate our special gum paste recipe. With this paste mixture. The students will create rorosesse, rosebud, calla lilies, filler flowers, and foliage. You’ll also learn how to add color to the paste and how to roll out the cutting and shaping technique. In this workshop, the students will also learn how to use color dust to paint all the flowers.

ROYAL ICING COOKIE WORKSHOP

In this four hours of workshops, you’ll learn how to decorate amazing cookies using royal icing.The student will also learn how to elaborate a special cookie dough and different royal icing consistencies for outlining, floating, and creating a wide range of designs to decorate cookies for different occasions.

CUPCAKE & CAKE TOPPERS

In this three-hour workshop, students will learn how to make different modeling paste topper for cakes and cupcakes.

BUTTERCREAM FLOWERS WORKSHOP

In this four-hour workshop, the students will be learning a special buttercream recipe with the right consistency for piping flowers and achieving dark and rich colors. You’ll learn how to use different decorating tips to create amazing buttercream flowers such as blossoms, peonies, poppies, roses, rosebuds, lilies of the valley, chrysanthemums, and many more. We’ll be creating buttercream flowers using flowers nail and directly on top of the cake. You’ll learn color combinations and how to create different flower arrangements on your cake. Students will take a real 7” cake home

TIERED CAKE, LEVELING, FILLING, CRUMB COAT, AND ICING TECHNIQUES

In this four-hour workshop, the students will learn all about, using the right tools and techniques for leveling using a serrated knife, cake levelers. Filling, crumb coat, and the correct use of spatulas to achieve an even and smooth finish. Students will also learn all about how to build beautiful cakes for Weddings, Sweet Sixteen, or Anniversaries. You’ll learn the correct way to create tiers, using dowels for classic and modern designs. Students will work on a real cake to take home.
