INTRODUCTION TO BAKING

During this 6-hour workshop, participants will dive into the secrets behind four iconic and irresistible cakes: Carrot Cake, a Rich Moist Chocolate Cake, the quintessential Yellow Cake, and indulgent Red Velvet Cake. Furthermore, participants will refine their skills in crafting ideal complements through detailed instruction on preparing Cream Cheese Frosting, American Buttercream, and Chocolate and Mocha Buttercream. These versatile recipes will be utilized to construct two layers of cake and accompanying cupcakes. As the workshop draws to a close, attendees will have the opportunity to showcase their newfound skills by decorating cakes and cupcakes to take home. Each participant will leave with four beautifully adorned single cakes, complete with icing, as well as four additional cake layers for further experimentation and enjoyment.

Students will be working in groups of two. Limited space

Students will have the choice to use cake batters to make cakes and cupcakes.

You can make one single-layer 6” cake or six standard cupcakes.
